Vendor Profile - Esther Argyle

After receiving a large portion of billboard fabric from a friend with the challenge to make something with it Esther Argyle began designing bags. The same friend also generously handed her  a stack of coffee bean sacks which I proceeded to turn into fancy bags as well. I love the challenge of taking unusual materials and creating something pretty and utilitarian with them. For the holiday show I have made some new travel bags from recycled wool plaid that I have collected from thrift stores. They are beautiful and functional.

Vendor Profile - ASH Designs

Astrid Shishkin Hill of ASH Designs is an Artist /Metalsmith/Jeweler. She turned her passion for making jewelry into a full-time profession. As a metalsmith she is constantly exploring and enhancing her techniques. She finds that including the raw tones of uncut and or unpolished stones within her designs gives a organic and largely unexplored dimension to her work. Her roller rings, which use various semiprecious stones riveted onto a forged ring shank with a 14kt gold pin, have a lot of movement in the design and a nice feel when they roll onto your finger. She also makes original earrings in various contemporary designs that have a distinctively modern look but are light and airy on the ear.
